Mike joined our retail and leasing team in 2015, overseeing the landlord and tenant retail representation arms of the company. He has managed the complete lease-up of new shopping centers such as Magothy Gateway and Westminster Station, as well as the redevelopment of Normandy Shopping Center and Towson Commons. For this work, Mike earned CoStar’s Power Broker designation in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. mfi Realty currently lists over 100 retail properties in the Mid-Atlantic region.
With extensive experience in development, construction, and rehabilitation, Mike has personally overseen over $200 million in development projects. He has negotiated leases with hundreds of national and local tenants, including Tractor Supply Company, Aldi, Outback, CVS, BJ’s Brewhouse, Sprouts, Cava, Cinemark, Bass Pro Shops, The Cheesecake Factory, Columbia Sportswear, Dollar Tree, Petco, Verizon, Starbucks, Chipotle, and many more. He has extensive experience in all areas of the closing of real estate transactions, including the packaged sale of four shopping centers valued in excess of $250 million dollars and the acquisition of several shopping centers and smaller properties for mfi and for clients.
Mike has a proven track record in tenant representation, including nationally rolling out the Hyper Kidz brand of children’s indoor playgrounds with over 15 completed transactions nationwide. His expertise extends to real estate transactions, financing, and property tax appeals—having litigated cases before Maryland’s Tax Court and argued before the Maryland Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining mfi, Mike spent over seven years at The Cordish Companies as Director of the Shopping Center Division, managing a portfolio of 22 centers. He holds a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law and a B.S. in Finance from Penn State University, where he played lacrosse and was a three-time All-Academic Big Ten Conference selection.
